Staying The Course.

Tiger Woods

"Staying The Course", thank u Coach Mike Brown from the Lakers, he's the author of today's diary post.  So much within that, get into that in a little bit....

It was absolute chaos coming home today.  It was summertime down here in the em-eye-a, with sunny skies, temps in the 80s ('85 Bears to be exact!), I had to stop over in Midtown Miami, to visit the Target over there.  A great time to go, because u had the place 2 urself still, even though it was the afternoon. Fridays can be Luda, u know!  Got our pasta, trail mix, and chicken patties from there, good prices on all three.  Then we attempted (yikes!) to go back home to the beach, and man traffic was something else.  Just stretches of cars coming over.  All the while I was looking at the DirecTV Blimp hoover over my crib...literally!  Not kidding...but it was such a big beach day, and so much is going on...speaking of which...

Said the next time we write, something cool is gonna happen, still anticipating, but u know cool things are happening all the time in our life.  These next few weeks is going to be nothing short of one large party.  There are so many events, many of which, somehow, someway, we're gonna try to attend.  Here's a personal list of our upcoming highlighted happenings:

-NBA All-Star Weekend in Orlando...We want to go to the Jam Session Fan Fest during the week which begins that Thursday, Feb. 23rd.  That's gonna be enjoyable!
- That same weekend, Feb. 25th- Lenny Kravitz is in concert with R. Saadiq down here in South Beach (Cross ur fingers on that one!)
- The Winter Music Conference jumps off March 16th.  They have great concerts, mid-day parties, lounges set up to just chill out...some events are free as well.  Right down here in SoBeach so might as well take off our shirt and enjoy some pool events, right!
- The "5th Major of tennis" begins, on March 19th, the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne.  Never been to a tennis match live.  So many events also accompany this tournament.  Fashion shows, meet-and-greets, parties (is that all we do in Miami?...don't even know if any1 even works here in the hood, like no one does?!)  That's gonna be fun...
-Wrestlemania 28 is coming to Miami...I used to be a huge fan of wrestling as a kid, not into as much now, but they have there Wrestlemania Axxess right up the street here at the Miami Beach Convention Center, so I wanna see their fan interactive activities.  That'll be nostaligic.  That's also at the end of March.
- Earlier in March (the 2nd), Calle Ocho hits the town again...been down here for 6 years plus, and have never been.  They say is just wild, and fun.  I like street festivals, music, and interacting with different people.  So that Sunday, u may see me getting my "wobble wobble, shake it, shake it" on, right on 8th street.  Gonna have to tape that one.
- Valentine's Day may be even more special this year, cuz our boy Jon B. releases his new album, plus u never know what may go down, or who may...on that day.  We so silly...but for real, u never know here in Miami.

So many things to do upcoming, PLUS we're gonna be releasing a mini-episode in an upcoming diary entry, indicating so special activities associated with our online diary.  Stay tuned for that, got some good stuff that will bring u closer to our life, the people we see, and the fun we have on a constant basis.  We need our own TV show, for real.  Lots of fun in store...

So staying the course is important...right now!  "Bored" has become the word of the last 24 hours, we mentioned it in our last post, others talking about it.  People are using it in the sense of having a "done it all, seen it all" type of attitude.  We fall into that at times, in certain areas in our life...sure with relationships or girls definitely.  It's like my Grandmama says, "what can u bring to the table."...and I'll add on, "that we haven't seen before."...this is a personal entry, so if someone is reading this, and is tired of my "gibberish" then by all means stop!...I'm writing this thang like OUR DIARY, sometimes its two paragraphs, sometimes it's pages full, today we're filling it b4 this evening jumps off....

As we were saying, we aren't the only one who feels like, they seen the best or that nothing can top this experience or that person.  U go back to ur home, and with the lights off, just think, 'why couldn't that just work out?'  I wasted so much time and energy, and nights at Chili's using their a la carte menu specials, that u're like, is there anything really out here?  Then u fight the urge to go back, thoughts of calling, texting, hiding in the bushes while wearing a hat that has tree branches coming out of it, just to make that person see that we had something special, and why can't it be the same.  Well, that's the thing, it WON'T...we thought upon our personal life, and it takes a lot of mental toughness to "Stay the Course".  So many absolute, weird stuff happening to us...specifically from the "amor" sector.  Just doesn't make sense...it's like, how can u get motivated for something that has always ended with a "twist" or a kiss.  Not the only one, can we be real about it...the stories girls have told us about guys, blows our mind like Gwen.  And we wonder like, "Big Poppa, why did u allow her to go through that, and not allow us to hook up with her? Or cross our paths?"  For a reason, we guess...

That's why "boredom" can creep in so easy, and we begin to set some standards...we bout  2 really get loose...that either people can or can't meet.  Looking for that combo...Julie is super smart...but she doesn't have abs like Gina...but Gina doesn't like Hip-hop like Jennifer...Yet Jen doesn't read blogs...Stacia does, but she doesn't like sports like Pamela....I love that Pam likes sports, but why can't she enjoy doing different things like Natasha...Natasha is so spontaneous, but she's not into the fashion scene...(yawn!!) Natasha dresses her booty off, and likes to do different things, and likes sports, but she doesn't believe in a God...we're keeping it super real right now.  And I KNOW girls do the same type of things with guys.  I wonder if there's a thing of having "too much" experience.

That's why reinvention of urself is so important.  Girl u beginning to wear colors instead of looking like an extra on the set of Twilight, awesome!  Brotha u wanna work out even though ur fam is looking at u Ohio State Buckeyed, go for it!  Our personalities, is trying at times.  Just to get motivated for certain activities can be more of a challenge than the actual activity!  But that's when, the Heavens above send a certain wink that allows u to go further.  A song comes on the radio, and u like it but don't sing it, then u see an accident on the road, which clicks in nothing is guaranteed, u need to take advantage of this mini moment, cuz u may not hear ur cut again.  (shout out to Brian Culbertson...on a smooth jazz tip...listened to Secrets album today...a classic.)  U walking to get ur workout on, trying to find motivation cuz u're tired and had a tough day...all of a sudden a couple is making out kissing dead in front of u, and a thought begins to hit u, 'remember Sally doesn't think u're good enough for her, don't u wish u had that.'  That little sight gives u extra motivation to get through a chaotic workout.

We're a strange person, we know...competitive (check!), egotiscal (check twice!), sensitive (not as much anymore but half a check.)  One day, we gonna either look back or be in that great cereal box in the ground, probably be a box of  Fruit Loops for us!...but this thang called our life was outta of control.  All of us are unique, so just be you!  The world needs u, not a wannabe of somebody else!  Side note, they make Louis Vuitton bags in other colors than brown and tan, this is exactly what I'm talking about...if I was a girl, I'll get the white rainbow one, not the same one everybody else has...now THAT'S BORING!

We done.  Austino....Stay The Course.  Whoever may read this in 2021 a.d., do the same.  Life is to be lived.  Life sometimes deals u certain cards, and u feel the jokes on u.  But if u get dealt a Joker, just remember nothing, not an ace, spade or whatever, nothing beats a Joker in cards.  So perhaps, that joke is what makes u unstoppable, focused, thankful, and motivated to...

Stay The Course.
A.G.
