Party At The Inferno!

Ha ha! We're laughing as we write this...our life is right where we want it right now.  In a state of fun...before we get to what we've been up to the last few moments...have to say this.  Everything in life happens for a reason.  And it's just amazing how experiences and people can be used to open ur eyes and open opportunities.  Sometimes what u want isn't what u get...yet...not getting what u want can led to a lifestyle actually better than what u wanted in the first place.  It's amazing how life is, how the Great Personal Assistant upstairs works, and just how it feels once u've been through some things and then...Boom!

So where do we start?....

Let's start on Thursday night.  After earning some ducketts at the ya dig (place of employment), we had a full evening in store.  About late in the afternoon, we came into our place, and once again had to push through for a workout at our luxury fitness spot.  Thing was, we felt really tired.  Felt as though all our hard work, and all our mental challenges, and all this stuff with life and chicks and everything was beginning to take a mini-toll on us.  We've been going so hard, and pushing through so many things.  Lot of moments we didn't understand about how someone who wants to just live and have fun, has to go through so many challenges and such...I guess those times can indicate that u may actually be closer to ...ok, I just had to clean up some dust, we spotted, I'm just so anal when it comes to being clean...I don't know if that's the right word to use, but it sounds good sol let's just roll with it!...But as I was saying, sometimes when u reach the end of ur rope, and begin to feel super tired mentally and spiritually, that might actually mean that change is about to come.  So the words that keep repeating in our mind as we were walking in South Beach to the Fitness a Taj was "Rejection...Rejection...Rejection."  Sometimes even when u're supposedly have reached a goal or are living at certain standards, there is still motivation.  And u may have to rely to past experiences or make urself go to a state when u're were scrapping or was picked last in Elementary school or laughed at for looking different...Isn't it amazing how kids laugh at other kids for looking different, and then when they grow up those "differences" actually end up being what makes those kids so attractive and sexy?!! Wild...but motivation still resides within us...just the other day, we really had to look within and picture a few pictures and a particular recent experience with a girl to get us through...and someway, somehow...we did.

Am I writing too real on this Saturday?  Ok...

After the workout, then came some more fun....Oh Boy!  I was ready, but I wasn't ready for what the night entailed...

Heat Road Rally.

Now those three words seem simple.  But those three words will someday bring a smile to thousands of people...literally!  The Miami Heat basketball squad were on the road in Oklahoma City for Game 2, and the organization had a rally for the team where fans can come down to American Airlines Arena and watch the game on the HD Jumbostron in the arena and just have a great time.  Been to something similar back in '98 up in Chicago, where the Bulls through something at the United Center when the Bulls of Jordan, Pippen and Rodman pulled out an overtime thriller in Game 2 of the Finals against the Jazz.  It was super fun!  So what would this evening hold...Humm?

Our trip to The Triple A on this evening will be different though, we're going with the perspective of someone who hasn't been to the arena before.  Even though we've had seasons of holding season tickets with the Heat and have worked for the organization for over six years now, we just wanted to enjoy ourself (Which is better motivation through success or failure?  Question just asked to Coach Spo just as we're writing this in his press conference at today's practice, he's talking live right now.)...we just wanted to enjoy ourself and act like we hadn't been there before.  It gives u a better perspective.  It's almost like going out on a date with a person u've been seeing for years...u have 2 keep that 'newness' spicy to make things work.  My girl Damita Jo wrote a song about this thinking.  So on this night, there were a lot of picures taken (See down below) and we just made sure everybody involved would have a good time.

PARTY!  PARTY!  PARTY!

Man...u talking about a wild night!  This was the most authentic environment one can have without the players actually being on the court.  From the videos on the big screen to the starting lineup intros (With the fire!) to music being played while the Heat were on offense and defense to "Let's Go Heat" to "Dos Minutos" to the Heat Dancers to "Tha Mayor of Uptown" Dale...u seen it all.  I was impressed...big time!  And...

On top of that was the crowd.  The event was SOLD OUT!  Think about that...there was about 15,000 or so folks who came to the arena to watch the game...with a 9pm est starting time.  That was pretty amazing when u think about it.  And it was really, really, really loud up in there.  Probably the loudest we've heard The Inferno...no joke.  Two things stick out as we think about that night:

1.  Miami Heat fans are actually pretty knowledgeable about basketball.  We always hear talk about New York Knicks fans who are fanatical about hoops.  And Lakers fans who are laid back, but know about the game as well.  But Heat fans are smart.  They know the ups and downs of the game.  How many fouls players have...they recognize the rhythm of the game.  That impressed me.  Love that. Guys and girls...good stuff.

2.  Nobody can party like Miami!  Never seen so much dancing, and folks just having a good time.  Folks from all ages not just the youngin's .  When they played the song, "Whoomp! There It Is!"  I thought I was in South Beach circa 1996!  As was when they played that old Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock classic, "It Takes Two"...and they played that extended long version which I hadn't heard since the Lakers came to town in 2010...The Triple A has the best music of all the arenas.  They played some great hip-hop tunes, club bangers, new joints...even saw a 3 year old get her "bootyshake" with a family member.  Ushers acting crazy, this girl behind me doing a Heat Dancer routine (Man, she had the "hair swirl" toss down pat!!) in the middle of the stands...It was a fiesta like no other.  And we like it no other way.

That's one of the reasons we were excited to go, cuz I knew u're gonna see the real fans and "Real Miami" that night.  I ran into one of my guys, Anthony in the bathroom after the game.  He simply said, "U KNOW I was gonna be up in here!"  Which sums it all up...it was tha spot!  After the game, the fans were chanting "Let's Go Heat!!" in the hallways, and in the parking underneath u heard just a plethora of horns honking and folks chanting!  I thought I was at an English Premier Soccer Team Championship!!  It was unbelievable.  And words can't describe it!  We've seen a lot, but that night will rain in our hearts and minds forever.  Like we say...u just never know what $2 tickets can get ya!  U never know!

Here are a few of our pics:
