Get It While It's Hot!

I just need some sugar to sprikle on top and I'm good!

Another day...Another moment...Another Post.

Just got done talking to my brother, and reminiscing about life and how krazy it is.  Talking about sports, and those college days we were fortunate to experience.  It's funny how time flies, and how things work out in the  fashion that it does...U know we gonna write fun tonight....for real.

What awaits upcoming here?  We've been saying that we feel the winds of change coming into our life, which is good.  U think it's time?  I think so...I believe that anybody who knows they have paid their dues in one way or Vogue fashion, believes that they want to see what they have been prepared for.  Speaking of which, the other day we ran and got that Mega-issue of Vogue Magazine with Lady Gaga on the cover.  We really wanted this one, since it's the 120th year Anniversary issue, and I know that within these pages, there are gonna be a lot of memories from fashion icons, and supermodels that we used to admire back in the day.  So I definitely wanted to get it before it got off the shelf.  But...912 or 916  pages?!!!  This thing is thicker that Robin, and as we are like 1/3rd the way through, is cool.  It's always cool to see past generational heroes meet or come together with others of their era.  That's cool.  Now where were we...

Oh, yeah.  We are getting ourself prepared for some changes in our life.  If u've been reading our diary, u've probably been seeing a dude writing from off his punk rocker.  But that's just who we are, this is our real life diary, and not something of pure entertainment, so what we write, the pictures u see, are really in some way or another, literally a part of our personality.  So as u read this, u are literally getting a piece of us.  We may never talk, or meet face-to-face, but our goal over the last year in an half, is to present a piece of work, in which u actually are living in our shoes, and feeling what we feel, and all that we've either gone or are going through, as we are climbing the Chutes and Ladders to a fun lifestyle.  This isn't a "Ha, ha!  Look at me now, type of thing"...but we felt like many of the lessons we go through, somebody can use to help them...whether it's to avoid some of the boobie traps of life (Man, that's a good analogy for our love life!), or to see that if u are attempting to become the best u can be, u are going to go....there has to be a price paid.  How much are u willing to pay and sacrifice?  I think ur answer determines how far u can go in life.  For real....

I have to say this...I talk about life and parties alot don't we?  Life is a party in our book, no matter what anybody tells u....that doesn't mean that we aren't trying to hone our craft...which is fun.  My brother and myself, was talking about this, how back in the day, the folks who used to "party" the most, or who were somewhat the most "gangsta", were actually the ones who were getting straight A's or in the AP classes or making Honor's lists.  It was wild if u think about that...Now, I don't think folks put in the effort into the other end of the spectrum, u know.  We just focus on the one side of life filled with the fame, and free clothes, and sipping on Nuvo, not really thinking about that many of the people u see doing this and that, are behind the scenes working there tale off, making sure they get their work in.  I think that's another thing we fail to realize, just how much sacrifice and pain is put into somebody getting to the level where they want to be.  I think, that's another reason, for some strange odd reason, it was led for us to release our life on a Galaxian scale, because we believe it'll be cool to see the stages and what u REALLY have to go through.  It's alright to hear the story after the fact, but what we want to know about is how it really goes down, when stuff happens, either real time or just telling stories before they happen.

We've told a lot...really as we think about it too many stories surrounding our love life, and how movie like it's been, and the funny thing is we still have stuff to write about if we choose.  But, as of the moment, we are single, and living the life as we have met so many beautiful guys and especially ladies.  So as we just said, after we have met "the one" or two or three, it'll be cool to hear from all that person's perspective.  What I think makes a good piece of a...r-t (I almost said something else!), is what is a person feeling when they are still in the process.  How does a guy feel after he's been cut off for no reason?  Or how a gal feels after she's put her heart and soul into a relationship, only to find somebody knocking the boots with the babysitter...this is what we wanted to capture.  Many times we wonder why we tell these stories, perhaps they can effect or affect, future relationships or employers, but I rather have somebody like/love/or respect me for who I am, not only through a diary, but in person, and meet the real me, than for me to waste rollover minutes on my cell bill, and spend $2.99 for an Original Chicken Sandwich at Burger King (Not even gonna talk about the fries...), and me going through the effort of getting tickets to Disney on Ice, and still not really know the true person within.  That's why we say, be up front from the get-go.  No matter what...u never know...

I think that's why us guys are afraid, to tell a girl, "I'm interested in dating right now, and not looking for just a single girl."  I think that's because if we be upfront, we might be shy in knowing that the girl now might either a) be thinking the same thing or b) it gives her a license to date whomever she wants as well.  It's easier for a girl to handle a guy dating different girls, than for a guy to handle a girl seeing different guys...Oh, I feel my Facebook friends dwindling by the moment, but guess what...It's true!  That's what our fore parents back in the 60's and stuff did anyway, they actually took risks and tried to meet as many people, not bang, but meet different people and cultures, that way they knew what type of person they were inside, and what type of person they are attracted to.  That's not called being a "playa", it's just living.  A playa is somebody who plays games and tries to trick folks into believing they're the only one when they are not.  A "Player" is somebody who's straight up with people from the get go, and let's them decide what they want to do.  And by the way, for the record...I'm not just a player, dude...I'm a Pro Lover!!

Boy, we letting it loose tonight aren't we?  Feeling kinda good bro, cuz I know that these experiences aren't for naught.  And if one person can take their life to another level, as we are taking ours, then, hey, these hours it takes per night to write a few lines aren't for naught.  It comes a point in ur life, where u know that everything that u've been taught and all the things u've endured has made u up for the moment u've been waiting for.  It's tough to remain confident through the struggle, especially when u feel like u're the only one who feels a certain way, or nobody is really encouraging you, that's when u have to really Karch Kari dig inside to keep going.  This is for the fellas:

Always remember, just because a girl knows she's beautiful, doesn't mean that she doesn't want to hear it every once in awhile.

What ever happen to giving complements.  U know that works as a form of encouragement, right.  "Hey, girl I like how ur dressed today." or "Brother, I saw your painting, keep at it"...I think we lose touch and now think that every compliment has to be used as a pickup line or as a "He knows he looks good, I don't wanna fill his ego."...but...U never know, what a person may be going through.  Maybe, hearing a encouraging word  is what's gonna get a person through a week or month, let alone a day.  It's about making a difference....Man, I just almost got choked up!  Not because of all this Jerry Lewis telethon talk, but because I just burnt up some my toast for my Turkey Burger sandwich.  I want to throw it away, but this Multi-Grain bread costs like waaaay too much...besides, I need to save up for this Gucci backpack that I want...But yeah, it's about making a difference...And yes, u read that right, I'm cheap when it comes to spending $3 on a BK Chicken Sandwich for your date, but am willing to eat toast the color of tar, all so I can save and spend about 2G's on a backpack! Now u see why we say we're the most interesting person in the Galaxia, right?!!

I'm in a Tupac type of mode where I feel like we have to get all of this out of our system while we have a chance.  I don't feel like we are about to die or anything, but I feel like I may not have to time to write all this upcoming.  So while I have, sorta some time, we'll talk a little bit.

We just want folks to have fun.  We keep saying that, and we'll keep saying that til we die.  See new places...meet new people from everywhere, and realize that what you are going through will pass...and you will be made better for it.

Tha horn is going off for me to stop, so we will.

Find ur fun.
And we'll holla.

Galaxian Lessons (Trois)

Lessons even Charlie Brown could appreciate!

"I've never seen that before!"

It seems like we say that almost every single day as we live down here in "the land of the beautiful people" of South Beach.  That's what I uttered as I saw a man riding a bike with a lady sitting on the handle bars.  The only thing was the lady was lighting up here cigarette as the bike was in motion!  I tell ya, u gotta love this life down here Fantasy Beach...it's wild!

It seems like it's been a lifetime since we've written anything, not really, but our life is just filled with so much stuff, that's it's almost tough to get a few minutes of sleep.  I missed my homegirl's b-day party last night (Jen I'm sorry for that), but I was knocked out sleep, literally.  I guess when u only get a total of six hours of dreaming about sheep over a span of two days, it can catch up 2 ya.  I always joke about our Hollywood-ish, Ultra-high profile type of lifestyle, and how we need a Personal Assistant...it's not a joke, for real.  It's so many activities and so little time to fit everything into our schedule.  Life's about having fun, so u gotta do what u gotta do and fit in what u can fit in whenever u can and however u can.  Huh, we just said all that without using a comma.  That's kool!

So what shall fill up the diary post on tonight...it's 8:24pm, and we have a little time before we get into something later...Our diary...it's filled with so much emotion and craziness, I tell u I wonder.  But if u ever keep a diary for yourself (And pleassse do, u'll feel better, trust us!), u know that each day is something different, and just as with us, u absolutely never know what u're gonna get.  People are one day gonna think, "This guy is loony!"  Which is right, but...hold on, I gotta put something on the stove, hold on...Ok, I'm back...a brotha is getting his cook on, so forgive us...but, we want this diary to be something...real.

It seems like our life has and is being used for some odd reason as a  movie in action.  Seemingly The Great Casting Director in the Sky, has chosen us to live through some wild experiences, and I guess to share them via this medium or just talking about them with somebody else.  Sometimes, and u probably see as we write, it cringes us, cuz we're just a goofy kid who wants to have fun....THAT'S IT!  But it's like, no matter what we do, things happen to us in some wild manners that can leave us a little breathless.  Things happen in life, and just because ur the life of the party or feel like u just want to share fun with others, doesn't mean that trials and tribulations aren't gonna knock at ur door.  Heck, they may even come at u harder, just because of that...

So as we go through photos of people we used to be cool with, and wonder how did things turn so weird, that we can't even look...or they can't look us in the eye anymore...or hear songs that brings back memories, we've learn some things about life...relationships...and love.  Hum???

We wrote several months ago in a two-part series on Galaxian Lessons...They were unique...If u hadn't read them, here they are in Uno and Dos parts each...In it we talk about life lessons and some of the things that we learned about...Gulp...el-oh-vee-eee.  Somehow someway, I think that even though we have two parts, that we, on tonight, need to finish off the trilogy. I got a playlist playing all the songs composed partly or entirely by Pharrell Williams, so as that is banging on our speakers, we gonna get loose some, and present our final edition of Galaxian Lessons. This could get interesting!!

Let it be noted that this wasn't our plans as we wrote this so we're interested what's going to be written upcoming here as much as you...u never know so...here is Part Trois:

Girls are just as afraid of falling in love as guys.  Yeah, we're starting with this one.  I know somebody just threw down their computer after they read that, and said, "Austino, I hate you so much!"  But it's true...it's just a part of human nature.  Us guys have been taught every since we used to play with G.I. Joe figures, and Micro Machine toys, that only guys get cold feet about committing to relationships or even taking that giant leap towards marriage or what not.  But we have learned that girls are just as nervous, when they meet someone who meets some of the criteria of what they've been looking for.  It's that, "I can't believe it, it's really butter" moment, when someone comes into ur life, and ur ready but not ready.  It's like, u are an Olympic Swimmer and are afraid to jump into the shallow end of the pool.  It happens to both sexes...I can recall times where we've met girls who were like everything we've been looking for...and when that happens u half think ur dreaming and 1/3 thinking I can't do this or why did it have to happen now.  I'm learning that attraction or love comes at the strangest of times and moments.  U can't hurry love...didn't Phil Collins cover that classic song?!!  Don't be afraid, give it a try, because good things don't wait around forever, others recognize a good things as well and u don't want to be saying years from now, "I wonder what if..."

This is "our last push" within our diary, we don't know how many posts we have left within our soul, so we gonna write from our heart, so just forgive us for speaking from our soul...What else?

A closed mouth doesn't get fed.  This one is for us.  It's impossible for somebody to really and truly read somebody's mind.  U have to speak up and as my Pops used to tell me before I laced them up before every basketball game, "Make them know who u are."  I think one thing about our life is that we are kind of quiet.  And sometimes too...humble.  Now we don't say that in a conceited type of way, but sometimes u have to recognize and be proud of surviving tough experiences or all the hard work u've put in during the wee hours of the night to get to a certain mindset of success in this life.  As of late, we've been wrestling with this, and begin to think, maybe I should begin to live in that South Beach swag...u know, where we always talking about "Me, me and me" and walking around showing off all our muscles and talking about who we are about to meet up with in a few hours.  I don't think that's the way...all the time at least.  I think about some of our past and we like, "We have a dream life and should be on the Stage A on Saturday Night in this global concert."  I believe that if ur cool and beautiful and talented in something, somehow it's gonna get recognized, if u just stay with it.  But sometimes u have 2 show folks that u have it...It's like my brother Anthony and myself say about our hoops skills, "It's not that we can't shoot...it's just that we choose not too."  Now, the scary thing is that we are starting to shoot, and how will the world react to that.  I hope they're ready....

The best parties are sometimes the most simplest.  Since we live down here in the Magic City of Miami, I have to write about this one.  I understand how folks have to get paid, and I don't hate on that....but sometimes I wonder when places cost like $150-200 to get in.  And if u're talking about New Year's Eve, they asking for like $450 to get into a joint, and ur thinking, "I just paid $15 for this Antipasto the night before, and now that they got a mariachi band and a few glowsticks, they wanna hit me up for my rent money?!!"  I'm not hating one bit cuz I know about how the business goes...I also know that u can have super fun for cheap, just by sitting on a porch or in somebody's basement talking about life experiences, and having a 1st generation Apple Ipod, streaming music til the sun comes up.  If u spend a lot, at least get ur money's worth.  I used to snap up north in the Midwest when the money handler be like, "That'll be $7 to get in."  And of course me being the "J. Paul Getty of the Ghetto" would scream, "Seven Dollars?!!  For this???  Ain't nothing jumping off except them two dudes over in the corner, by the dart board arguing about a putt shot as they're playing "Golden Tee".  Now that I live on America's Rivera, I think hard when places charge so much just to walk in.  If I don't have a hook up, I really think hard...let me see...They want $75 to get in...huh.  Most of the real party girls in Miami don't show up until 1am...so that means I might have four hours to...one...two...three...I got like 3 hours to get my groove on.  And really one hour, cuz it ain't until 3am, and u begin to hear  "To-ny Mon...tana...To-ny Mon...tana" on the speakers that the joint gets jumping, anyway.  So that's like, what, 20 cents a second...It can be worth it...sometimes it can not be.

(Is this too real tonight?)

A walk, run or drive can do wonders for your soul.  Sometimes in life u just need to take a long walk.  That's all Richard Simmons aside on that....I love to walk.  I'm blessed to be able to walk to any and everywhere down here in the beach area.  But even if u don't live in South Beach, u can just walk somewhere, and it can clear ur head.  The other day, I had this guy literally walking circles around me.  At first, I thought he was trying to make those type of circles that u only see out in like freakin' Area 51 out in Nevada or somewhere...but it was cool.  I used to drive just to see new places and get some new air.  And no Frankie Stacks, I don't go up the Florida coast just for some "Dick Tracy" escapades, although a lot of the dolls in Boca Raton do have that Stepford Wife type of beauty...But that's not the point!  (Please don't let me be in trouble for saying all this!!)  Although gas is higher than my collegiate g.p.a, doesn't mean that u still can't get out somehow....someway.  I think walking or running always u to see the world in it's natural beauty and u notice different things as well.  Sometimes that's all u need to make a life-changing decision or to prevent u from punching through a wall or something.  Give it a try.

Two more and that's it...

True beauty and greatness can defy time.  Has anyone ever seen a work of art, and just thought, "That's mad tight."  Only to realize that it was made like 50 years ago!!  That's what true beauty is.  It goes with any era or time...Sometimes I watch an old movie and see somebody dressed to kill or looking "right" and u realize that if u are true to ursel...I don't think I'm the only one, but I recall this one time years ago, well, two times for sure, being out shopping and being in a checkout line on two separate occastions, and having my soul, just get a little extra warm because I was next to two women who just exerted what a woman is personified.  Once I was in like Value City (Folks down in here in Florida don't know nothing about that!), and this woman was amazing with a low cut blouse and whew...and another time, I was in the checkout at this store, and this female had just this spirit about her, that was so enticing, and the funny thing about it, the first one had to be about 60, and the other one probably in her late 40's or 50's...which is what I'm talking about, that true beauty (Within and/or physical) has no age or distinct place in time.  It fits in during all eras and moments in time.  I've always wanted, if I had a choice of money, fame or presence...we would choose presence.  I want to give off the feeling that goofy fun with a little sexiness is about to occur everytime ur near us or around us.  (U'll only hear us talk about that in our diary...that's a definite exclusive.)

And the final thought on tonight...

Make ur own rules...and break ur own rules!!  I believe that the only person who can define ur life, is you, urself.  We have been through it with all these so call rules...Don't call that girl until two days after u get her number, so she won't think ur desperate...I'm gonna read 2 chapters of this book and then eat and then read some more...I promise to never use the F-Word again...I'm gonna be low key in Church, even though what the Pastor is saying is right on the money...All these pre-determined thoughts that we make up.  And guess what...In reality, they all stink!!  Yes, we do all have some standards and outlines of how our life is gonna be.  U talking to a guy, who's been writing what we need to pick up in terms of clothes and showroom decor, and guess what...I haven't pick up jack!!  What we are saying, and have learned is that u can't live according to some list or rules u made in the 7th grade of Middle School.  Never study past 12am...but what if it's a big Final Exam?  I'm never gonna have a piece of cake ever again?   So u tell me u not gonna try a slice after this dame went through all this effort, and it's her way of showing appreciation and love for you?...I'm done dating stuck-up people, even though every time u see some type of ultra-swag personified, it keeps turning u on and out...Live each moment to the max.  We learning life is so short, and u cannot really plan for what's really going to happen.  U can prepare, but plan...two different things.

I'm giving u all of me in this diary...it's getting close to hitting "E" on our gas tank.  Until we get past that red slither, we'll keep pushing.  But why do feel that we are about to get a fill-up...

Just saying it...but we have a feeling that some things are about to happen that we are really gonna want to write about...

Stay tuned.

Cherish everything...including these moments reading our diary.

What's The Worth?

My Pops still be collecting these things!

Well, alright...

First off...Thank u Big Alfredo and Ms. Cynthia, for ur help on our new look!  I think I know where to come now for some true salon stylists expertise, and I have a feeling I'm being touched by some future superstars in the beauty business, so much luv for that!

Now,  it's been quite a journey here...and we're just gonna write from our heart, eye got one of my favorite jazz musicians Boney James in the background playing one of my favs, called "So Beautiful", so u know we feeling alright...

So much...has been going on.  This whole entire week, and folks are gonna think we're krazy for saying this...but the rallying cry all week has been taken from a former Assistant Coach of the Chicago Bulls of old, named Johnny Bach.  He made a quote after the Bulls lost the first 2 games of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals to the New York Knicks that has been ringing in our heads all week to keep us motivated...

"...No matter what happens we have to take them both times."

Meaning that as they returned to there home court of Chicago Stadium (I miss the Madhouse on Madison), they had to get the Knicks both game 3 and 4 for them to get back into the series.  The Bulls won those very competitive games on that Memorial Day weekend, and went on to win the series, after losing the first two games.  (We talked about that memorable Game 5 last year in our diary...how many remember when we wrote this?!!)

So what does this all have to do with our state of being in the 2012?

As we've stated before, we look or are exposed to some unique places to gather motivation in our life.  It could be from a book...from a non-acknowledge "Hello" in passing...from the memory of somebody doing us wrong in the past...anything really.  And we need that, cuz with the lifestyle we've been blessed to have, it's easy for us to get into that Valley High attitude where things become expected instead of earned.  When that happens we become snobby cuz we have a few dollars or because I can do a few sprints on the treadmill (Who cares really....), and that attitude can lead to disaster.  So every once in a while...let me change that, very much as of lately the Grandmaster of Life in the Sky, has put us through some very difficult tests.  How do u react when things happen in such weird ways that u're just left speechless?  Or how come when u are going through a thing with some folks of the opposite sex, seemingly everybody is making out kissing and hugging everywhere u go, RIGHT in front of u, like, "Here's Galaxia, let's show him how it's done"...tongue action included.  We have a wild life..

Has anyone ever had a point where they...we're writing from our heart, so excuse me if this isn't what is "popular"...has anybody wondered if they should go back and...they say anything worth having if worth fighting for...nothing good comes easy...has anybody else ever felt like, "Ok...one more shot at this guy/girl?" Like, u know u've moved on...but every once in awhile, u see them smile, or bump into them and exchange a few words and u feel like perhaps this was just a test to see how bad we want them.  Or maybe it's all in the game, u know...it ain't easy, but...

When u have those type of thoughts, I think that's when more than ever u have to believe in who u are.  Meaning, in life whether in jobs, friendships, bed partners...Wow!  That's deep, u can be bed partners but not sleeping partners...deep stuff.  But this is when u have to know that in all those things, u HAVE to be met half way.  U can't give 51, 67, 79% and then repeatedly get nothing in return, u know.  That's in anything....Maybe I'm writing all this from a sexy, singly guy's perspective (Blowing on our knckles as we write this!  Just joking!)  But for real...that's why I L-to tha O-to tha V-E people or gals who are up front and speak their mind even if it may be something that u don't want to hear.  If u happen to read articles or hear any interviews from some very successful people, has anyone ever learned one thing that is usually common for these unique icons?  I think truly successful people want the truth, and don't want people surrounding them who are afraid to speak their mind or disagree with them.   There are tons of people in life, and here in Miami, who haven't heard the word "No"...ever to them.  Just because they look good, or have a lofty position or what not...but I'll pinkie finger bet a box of Skittles that they are waiting for somebody to be straight up about their feelings, and that the person who does that is gonna be the one they'll have the most respect for, cuz everybody else doesn't want to or is afraid to.

I was gonna say something else, but...life is all about having fun.  U've heard us say that from the beginning of this diary, all the way up to now.  Somebody out there is like, "Shut up" u don't know what I'm going through or life is fun for u since u have this or this or live this or this place...but let me say this.

To whom much is given, much is required.

And the reason we talk about having fun so much...and that engulfs a lot of things...is because as we've stated before...that's all we have.  At least, I know that's what gets me going in the morning, or when u feel like, "Here we go again."  Sometimes the things that look so much like negatives could be the best thing that ever happen to you.   For real...U may think, "Fudge pucker, I got a D on this test in class, but perhaps u getting that grade may allow u to study harder, and be ready for the final exam which is 50% of ur overall grade anyway."  Maybe if u got an "A" , u may think u're already ready for the course, and u need not study or think, that "A" will balance itself out..."I get a F on the Final, I'll still walk out with a C, so I'm cool, and I can still 'get it in' some this weekend."  We write this, cuz we used to think this exact way.  I mean, ur talking to somebody who used to be outside of the dorm, waving "What's Up" to people going to the exact class that ur supposed to be in and going to, but are not because it just hit a Mark McGuire 70 on the temperature (Magic # for Midwestern Colleges in the Spring), and u need to get ur BBQ on and sometimes freak on if it's at night.  Just being real...

Now...after all that we've experienced in terms of living experiences, unforeseen rejections for no reason I guess...all those things have built up a spirit where it's like, "Ok, I'm gonna get greedy."  Meaning, that u wanna get better....and better...and better....And when u think, that's it...u crank it up some more...just to leave no doubt...HOLD IT!!!...I Love this song!!  Oh, yeah...It's my life....don't u forget...it's my life...it nev...Oh, tha good old days!  But as I was saying, u get ultra-motivated, especially when u know that the things happening to u, don't make no sense!  I think that's what episodes in life can do, if u accept them, and use them in a positive manner.  Now have we ever walked past somebody and been like, "Dude, don't even look at me...I mean, don't even think in ur head of turning ur noggin my way!"  Yes we have...but u know what happens once there is more fuel added to the fire, right....I know I'm not the only person who feels this way...Maybe we are, and all this sounds like jibberish that comes from trying to eat baby food as an adult!  Oh, the lengths one will go to have perfect skin!  But if we are, I don't even care cuz I know that one day, somebody may be striving to go to the next level in this real life version of Donkey Kong, and they will realize that u get stuck in a maze, but if u be patient and relax u can get all the bananas u could ever dream of...or if u are a guy, all the banana pudding u can dream of!  (Wink, wink!)

Are we beginning to be too much?  Hey, we're a crazy dude, if u haven't noticed by now.  But...I'ma say this and then we're out...

Today, we had a little moment....In a day filled with riding on 7 Miami-Dade buses...a ride on the Metrorail train, which had to be evacuated for some unknown reason, and then have everybody re-board another train...a day which I wish this one girl who I think is mad hot would at least look at us...a day where we only had like 3 hours of half and half sleep...in the course of all that, we just wondered if it's all really, and I do mean really worth it.  U have million dollar dreams...a billion dollars worth of experiences and a zillion dollar personality...Is it really worth it?  What is "it"?  It is the belief in having fun, trying to share that belief with others, and the hope that one day everyone will believe in the same...Is it really worth it, when it seems like the closer u get to Final Jeopardy, the harder the questions, and u feel like u have less money to bet, yet more to lose than others...Is it worth it, when u can see things happening, yet u feel like it's coming too soon, or that maybe others haven't endured like u, but are reaping full success with half the effort u have to put in...Is it worth it, when u wonder how many notches u can go until u reach the top of the ladder...Is it worth it?

And I feel like that Stevie Wonder song, "You Will Know" sums up that conversation within and above on this afternoon...the reoccurring theme was...

Don't quit now.  No matter what...Do not quit.

So I guess that's what we are Santa Monica Track Club relaying to the rest of the Galaxia tonight.  Don't quit.  If I'm holding on...then u are too.  Remember that tests just make u stronger and better...and later the best.  U may not understand everything now, but soon u will know...and see for urself, that ur personal journey was the best route after all.  There's many routes to Dreamland.  And for some reason, though it can look cloudy, I want the route that has crazy twists and turns.  Sure, u can get there faster through the fast lane...but a trip detoured....is a trip to be told.

And as I have learned...

This has and is becoming one heck of a ride.

And there's nothing sexier than a sports car forced to go 15 mph every once in a while...

It simply makes the acceleration that more fun!

Blame It On...

One of the all-time jams!  Put ur 3-D glasses on and let's jam!

Ok...we're gonna let these fingers write, and see what happens on tonight.  No ideas...just trust our little fingees....here we go...

If u could travel back in time..would u?  If u could travel into the future...would u?  Or should u?  Yikes!  That's a wild question to ponder...or few questions to ponder.  Today, was one of those "let's just get it over with" type of days.  Feel pretty good and all, but for some reason our mindset toward the end of the afternoon and beginning of the evening was one of, "let me just lay my head on my pillow, and let me be!"  I know that I wasn't the only one thinking that on today.  Just by the wild and crazy looks that I saw on many of people's faces on today.  Folks looked so...mad...upset...depressed...I saw this one woman...she threw her cigarette so hard, that I was like "Dag, it's ok homegirl...MTV's Diary will one day return to the air! Chill out with flinging those Camels ok?!!"  It was just weird though...go to the grocery store, and just about all the carts have run out...everybody's in the laundrymat washing clothes, my dude is pouring out his brown baggie of a 40 oz. filled with Corona's new flavor of  "apple juice" into a small Styrofoam cup, which is wacky cuz what does the cup do for that juice?

Hmmm...this is gonna take a lot of guts to write about.  I mean A LOT...but something tells me that I should write a little something so...here we go...I hope this doesn't get me into trouble, but this is our diary, so I'm gonna let go...(Huge Blow!)

Many of people have asked me if we've ever been drunk...plastered...wasted...hanging by a thread....a phone call away from AA...seen with underwear on our head...well, that last one, maybe...just kidding.  But a lot of times people, especially when we go out to hang, what are ur drinking habits Galaxia?  Well, it depends...

I had a family member who passed away, and I believe that a lot of her early death was affected by her habits.  That made us look at drinking in a little different light than others.  Does that mean that I would never put something us up to our mouth...Heck naw!  I may throw some Champagne down coming up soon, just because we survived some of this drama.  As we always believed, if Jesus can drink some wine, then hey, who are we to pass, right?!  But I don't do it as often, just because of some weird experiences...

I remember being involved at a party being held on the beach.  And when I say beach, I mean like actually being on the sand and having a good time.  "Interacting" with people, perhaps a girl or two were involved in some sand wrestling, where there was no "1-2-3" if u know what I mean.  Just living and having a good time...I'm a beach kid, so it was as Catwoman would say..."Puurrrrfect".  So on this starry night, I was downing something kind of light, like some Smirnoff Ice or something.  And u know how weak those things are...but if ur downing them at a 3 per 15 minute ratio, that stuff can put a hurting on u, like Robin Givens did Mike Tyson back in tha day!  And that's another thing when u drink beverages that are simple in taste yet as complex as a Miami girl in...did I just say that?!!..in after effects.  For instance, when u go to a get together or a picnic, or discoteca or  heck a freakin' 8 year old birthday party...and u got somebody doing their best Coyote Ugly imitation, jumping all on top of some Yogi Bear picnic table cloth, shaking up some concoction recipe that they found in the attic of an old house from the Prohibition years!  After they get done shaking like a saltshaker, they finally pour out this liquid slime into a cup or if u're from the hood, a Ball jar or some Smuckers jelly jar, with old crusty butter still dangling on the lid (Oh, if u like seriously want to date me, u MUST NOT get the butter mixed in with the jam!) Straight up!  That's what we call a deal breaker...I'm getting myself into some trouble aren't eye?  Now where were we?...

So after u get that Echo Cooler inside ur beverage holder with the curvy straw (That's an 80's thang!)...how do u know if the drink is good or not?...By the reaction...Usually, the person who's drinking it would first utter a cuss word of their liking, that's first...Am I being real tonight or not?!!...After that, how do u know the drank is on point...they will then say..."This tastes just like Kool-Aid!"...C'mon party animals, I know I ain't the only one who knows about this...so right when u hear those words u know that u either better begin to call the 1-800 number to the designated driver hotline, dust off the old VHS recorder because "Little" Nikki is about to do that Playboy worthy trick of hers when she flips a stack of quarters that are facing down and somehow flips them over, this time facing back up (Use ur imagination on that one!) or u begin to go upstairs to ur Air Jordan shoebox and count how much money u have saved up, cuz u know that the cops are gonna come knocking around 2am tonight!  U know that deal...

During this get together of beautiful people, I was...let me also say, and people down here in Miami can attest to it...when it's hot outside, and a drink is tasting all Fruity Pebbles...that can be a weird combination...it's almost when Flavor Flav was hittin...I mean supposedly "dating" Brigitte Nielson.  U feel them, but u're like, "What?"  I'm not hating one iota...NOT ONE!   Ms. Nielson is fine... So when u mix tha humidity and the great taste, less filling vibe...u can be throwing them down quickly and without a New York second of thought.  That's what got tha kid.  I was tossing them down like I was about to leave to Ibiza the next day on my private yacht, and got caught up in tha hype of having pretty girls on my sides...it happens...and next thing u know it...I'm getting my sip on.

But u know the funny thing about it...and at this party, stuff began to go down a little bit...u know when alcohol mixes u begin to see "true feelings"...like those u don't wanna talk or speak to me in class or on the job, but once the bubbles come to the surface of the night, then all kinds of stuff is being uttered and all kind of body parts are being pressed on each other...we should have a beauty pageant of who is the most beautiful person in the world when somebody is intoxicated!  I mean...for real... give the judges some Ciroc and OJ, put on the classic anthem "Guantanamera" by Julio Iglesias and let the games begin!  I bet I win...Now that I think about it, I don't know if that's a good thing or not!!!  Ha, ha!!...but the funny thing about that night is that I was good that night and into the morning...but it was the afterwards effect that had a brotha be like, "This Smirnoff done (messed) me up!"  I played basketball later that morning, and...no.  So that was one bad experience with...at least that type of drink.

People have tried to get me drunk.  I mean like on a mission soft taco shell, type of get me drunk.  My whole thing is that I want to remember how crazy...or how much fun I had somewhere.  I cringe when somebody says, "I don't know how I got home."  Or "I made out with who??"  Yeah, u live and learn, but still...and this is coming from somebody who's been riding passenger in a car, with somebody "buzzed" up, and telling me that "I drive better when I'm drunk."  Please don't get urself in that situation, cuz drunk driving...ain't cool...AT ALL.  We've seen it so much down here, everywhere, but u come on the A1A past downtown...I might be coming back from a Miami Heat game, and sometimes I leave very late, and folks coming over to our hood of South Beach, be getting their swerve on in their Porsche Panamera or what have u,  and u just...u just have to be so careful.

We say this, because there is no doubt in our mind that this season upcoming here in Miami is about to be wild.  We can just feel it in the air, that there's gonna be a lot of wild activities, parties going on, people just wiling out.  And we all, me included, need to be responsible.  We had no idea what we were gonna write about...but this is what came about.  Perhaps, somebody is wondering if they can have fun without drinking the night away.  U certainly can.  We go out all the time, and sometimes don't even lift a glass...usually somebody is lifting it for us to our mouth, but...in all honestly just be u.  If u do drink, be responsible.  Talking to myself, in both instances....Just don't reach that danger zone, where u begin to blackout like a Britney Spears album, or begin taking off ur heels and walking down Collins Ave. barefoot, don't do that...everybody has cell phones, and u will be on Instagram probably before u even make it home safe.  Just sayin'...Us guys must watch it...I know I do.  U can get caught up so fast in the music, or boobs in ur face, that u forget how quickly things can get outta hand.  And ladies, always remember...

There's nothing worse than a beautiful drunk girl.

That's it for tha kid...another embarrassing and foot-in-tha mouth post.  But...whatever, u're getting the true us...

That funny, after all this writing...I just realized something...

I need a drink!  Ha, ha!!
